Baseball!

Ok, for those who don't know it...I'm a bit (ok, A LOT) of a baseball fan. Particularly an ATLANTA BRAVES fan.

It's been a good week of baseball-ness for me! Back in April my Dad surprised me with tickets to the 1st Friday home game in Atlanta (and to add to it they were playing the METS). But, in typical Kate-luck fashion the game was rained out. We were unable to make the rescheduled game, so Dad got the tickets transferred to last Friday (vs. the PHILLIES). So t
he family went. It was a lot of fun, until they decided to lose...again. Not surprising though. It's ok. I got to see Chipper while still hitting like... .420
He's out of control.

Then, Amy and Jeremy decided to take Tytan to see the Catfish play the Rome Braves here in Columbus last night. Kellie, Anna and I met them at Golden Park, and waited things out while the grounds crew dried off the field. I swear, it can not rain for a year and as soon as I make plans that involve being outside...it will. The game started late, which gave Kellie and I the opportunity to take Tytan down to the Braves' dugout and get some autographs. We also HAD to take a picture in both of our Braves jerseys (he's crazy into baseball at 2 1/2 years old, so of COURSE I had to supply him with a Braves jersey and cap! :) The kid is totally my adopted nephew!).

Is he NOT the cutest thing you've ever seen? He cracked me up the whole night. At one point one of the Catfish players hit a pop-up and as soon as the Braves player caught it, Tytan put his head in his hands and said "I don't believe it!" He should totally be my kid!

Anyway, plans are in the works to hit up the Braves/Mariners game on Saturday! 3 weeks in a row?? SA-WEET! :)
